Nyanga relief at international recall

France flanker Yannick Nyanga insists he is just happy to be back involved after being called up for the RBS 6 Nations clash with England.
The Toulouse back rower was one of the standout players for les Bleus in their unbeaten November Test series, but was overlooked for the first two matches of the Championship after the return of Thierry Dusautoir from injury.

Recalled in place of the injured Fulgence Ouedraogo, Nyanga is set to feature alongside Dusautoir in the French back row as one of five changes to the matchday 23.

And having made his return to the international game after five years of absence in November, he admits he can take nothing for granted ahead of the clash at Twickenham.

He said: “When I’m asked what it felt like to be left out? Well, I don’t care. It’s over and I’ve put it behind me. I’m looking ahead.

“Was I disappointed to miss the first two matches? Again, I don’t care, it’s only by looking ahead that you progress.

“It’s all relative. Under Bernard Laporte I won 25 caps [from 2004-2007], I was involved in nearly every campaign.

“With Marc Lièvremont [2007-2011] I didn’t win any. I don’t necessarily think one was right and one was wrong. It’s the job, you have to accept. Now I’m lucky enough to be there [in the squad], it’s up to me not to waste that chance.”
