Farrell has had to play second fiddle to Charlie Hodgson for his club of late, coming off the bench to play at outside centre in Sunday’s 17-16 win over Northampton Saints.
After starring for England during last year’s Six Nations the 21-year-old was also overtaken in the Red Rose pecking order by Toby Flood during the autumn internationals.
However injury gave Farrell his chance against New Zealand where he kicked 17 points as Stuart Lancaster’s men recorded a historic 38-21 victory.
And Sarries director of rugby McCall believes the 12-cap international will be raring to go by the time England launch their campaign in February.
“Owen will play some rugby at ten over the next two or three weeks,” said McCall.
“He'll get plenty of rugby there to make sure he's in good form for England when the Six Nations begins.
“Owen is very aware of the plan we have over the next three weeks - and has been since he came back from England's autumn internationals - about when he will play ten and when he won't. He is very happy with that plan.”
